Long story short: this is a wonderful shop run by trustworthy mechanics. Long story: A couple months ago, I noticed the rear axle on my Jeep was floating about. Very dangerous. I called AAA for a tow and they recommended I take it to John's Automotive since it was the closest shop. After getting there, they told me they would take a look at it and get my Jeep back to me as soon as possible. The first thing that struck me was how friendly and personable the staff were. Throughout the repair process, they kept constant contact with me. They called me before they did anything and kept me informed every step of the way. They even found another issue, told me about it, and asked me if I wanted to have it fixed (most mechanics would do it and charge you anyway!). My Jeep was up and running again in no time. Then, recently, I noticed the same problem again. I took it back to John's Automotive to see what the deal was. After further inspection, they discovered that their original repair was inadequate and they should have done it differently. Instead of making excuses, they took responsibility for the mistake, communicated with all the specialty shops required, and made sure they got the job done right. For free. Even when I offered to pay for the work and time, they declined, citing that it should have been done right the first time and it was a learning experience for their shop (apparently this was the first time they've seen that specific issue). Talk about customer service. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone, and I do. This shop was originally just a random recommendation from AAA but it is now who I will be calling ANY time I have an issue with ANY of my vehicles. These guys understand that their customers just want good, honest service -- and they deliver.
