i was referred to John's by AAA a couple months ago, and i must say that they are the nicest guys that work there, super helpful and informative. Since my first visit my roommates and I have taken all 3 of our vehicles there, and we are all very happy with the results. I recommend them to my friends, and to anybody else looking for great service.

Amazing.

Came in two days ago to get a smog check done on my car, and it passed...YAY! But that is the least important part. I have never felt so welcomed and well taken care of at a shop the way I was this day. I walked in not really knowing what to expect but I was greeted right away and given the help I needed. I even got $5 off my smog for being a SDSU student so that was awesome! I can't seem to remember the gentleman's name who helped me but he made me feel so at home. He started chatting with me, but not forcefully he truly cared. I hung out for about 20min and was offered water, coffee, candy, and even granola bars. I was too shy to take any though lol! When I checked out the gentleman who was helping me gave me a little history about the shop and offered their help for any little thing that was needed of them they'd be sure to do. I'll definitely be coming back! Definitely a very humbling place with people who truly care about the service they're doing for others. Good to know I have a place I can trust since finding a good mechanic shop is really hard to come by.

I was referred here by my coworker, and have no regrets. If you're looking for a solid mechanic that will not break your wallet, this is the place. From the moment I walked in, I was treated like a regular. I was made to feel comfortable with a snack in one hand and hot tea in the other. Chris is awesome and even offered to glue the rubber on my windows at no charge. They even give you a bag of candy when you're done ! Highly recommended :) P.S. If you're referred, you are given a discount on your service. And if you refer someone, you get a free oil service ! Speaking of, every fifth oil service is free. Win win!

I went here about two years ago and meant to write a review. Awesome service, I was going to SDSU (living 600 miles from my parents) and it just felt like it had a homey vibe, like they weren't trying to rip me off. Bryan helped me and even talked to my dad on the phone so he could get a better understanding of what was going on, it was such a relief. Obviously it was good service if I still remember his name when it was over two years ago. Thanks Bryan!

The staff at John's Automotive are so kind, respectful, and honest. They drove me back to my office after I dropped my car off, which made it so much more convenient than other places to get my oil changed. I was referred to them by a co-worker who has been their customer for years and I was not disappointed!

I've been coming here for about 5 years and I'm in love with everything about Johns! Their customer service is so spot on. I'm a young girl and when joseph was still working here he would call my dad (who lived in Seattle at the time) and discuss my car with him, since I don't know much about cars. I've always felt so well taken care of there whether it be joseph brian or Chris helping me. The staff is phenomenal! My car has always come back perfect as well- always in perfect condition, the price is always right. Overall this place is literally all you could ever ask for whether it be an oil change, tires or something more serious! Go to johns!!!!

If you want an auto shop that is going to treat you well, look no further. I used to always bring my car to the dealership due to the warranty. Once the warranty was up, I needed a reliable shop who I could trust and John's came highly recommended. I was not disappointed. Bryan was very friendly and informative. He took great care to explain everything being done to my car and the costs involved. He answered my questions clearly and patiently and I felt good about trusting my car in his hands. My vehicle got the service it needed at a reasonable cost and then I even got a free car wash and free candy when I picked up my car!
