The customer service was very friendly and welcoming. I didn't have much problem get my car looked at after a couple days wait since I was a walk-in. However after they looked at the issue they try to hit me with the highest price. I had an EVAP system issue and the part costs an average of $250. However, they were quick to want to charge me $1500 for the repair cost. That is about $1000 in labor. After this ridiculous price gouging I took it to another mechanic who fixed my problem easily for less than $400. I really am disappointed with their efforts to keep the loyalty of their customers and how quick they were to try to pull one over on me.

Everyone I spoke to was professional. I worked with Dave, who from the beginning spent a lot of time on the phone with me, gave advice and explained things the dealership couldn't, before I was even a customer! I appreciate that he gave a general timeline for items that where urgent and non urgent so I could save money now and plan for repairs later. Upright and honest, I recommend John's Automotive to anyone. Plus, they are of the few shops that have expertise in electric cars!

Good quick service, reasonable price and free transportation home and back.

I never write reviews for anything and I think this is truly needed. For anyone else who gets major anxiety taking their car in, this place is seriously where you need to go. They even have a shuttle you can take M-F (if you're within a certain mile range) which helped so much. I went in for an oil change and brake inspection last week. This week I went in so they could diagnose a few other issues I've been having. Aaron called me multiple times throughout last week and this week every step of the way on what the mechanic found. He seriously explained things so well to me. As someone who is not super well versed in cars I cannot tell you how much that helped. They didn't do any work on my car until I understood what was going on and I said it was okay. I ended up needing extensive and expensive work to be done that may not be worth it. Aaron called me to discuss it and was even willing to talk to my brother about it too (I wanted a second set of ears) which I truly appreciate. Although I need more work, the breaks do work great now. After both services they emailed me a very detailed and extensive report including pictures with arrows that point to what they explained to me. The report also has pictures of any damage on your car and then three categories - things they checked that are okay, things that may need attention soon, and things that need attention now. They even wrote a narrative note with pictures of the issues they found the past two days. My brother and dad work on cars themselves (out of state unfortunately) and even they were very impressed with how thorough they were. From their standpoint too the pricing was actually very reasonable. I can't thank Aaron enough for taking the time and multiple phone calls explaining everything and to the mechanics who worked on my car - Jose L and Ben D
