My car broke down on the interstate, in the middle of nowhere, on the weekend, between paychecks in a town I was unfamiliar with. My phone had spotty service so I was lucky to get my Google search to load, a shot in the dark. I got a list of garages near my mom. They were all closed! With little battery left on my phone and stranded in the desert I was starting to feel a bit helpless. Finally I got an answer. It was Byron at John's Auto. His first concern was my safety. I thought that was nice. Then he reassured me that they'd be open, or at least, he'd be there (even if he had to stay late... which he did) so that I'd have a place to tow my broke down car. After hours of desert heat, arguing with insurance, trying to describe my location to a lost tow truck driver and running my phone battery down to the last 3% I finally made it in to John's. Byron hooked me up with water and snacks and sat me in the air conditioning. They had a charging station in the waiting area! Yay.... I could call my mom to come get me! Safety tip: memorize your mom's phone number. When the time came to talk money the repairs came to more than I had available. Even for weeks. John's worked it out. They were able to call around and get some deals on parts and gave me time to get a couple of paychecks under my belt. When I called to check in the car was finished before I ever gave them a dime. After the work was done my car ran great. It has a rotary engine so not all mechanics are comfortable working on it. These guys loved my engine. Blush. I'm taking my mom's car there next payday. I highly recommend this shop. They took my horror story and gave it a happy ending.
