Am I wrong or is this business supposed to help guide their customers in the right direction since you are the professionals? My mechanic spoke down to me and looked at me like a Deer in the headlights when I told him what I thought was wrong with my car. I had two previous diagnostic tests but he insisited he needed to do his own. He gave me an estimate of $700 and I called two other places and got significant lower prices. Once I told him I was going somewhere else he changed his tone and tried to persuade me to stay. He even insisted on walking me to my car and opening my door and said" what would my mother think if I didn't open the door for you" I wanted to say, what would she have thought of how you treated and spoke to me Earlier? Very rude, frustrating and disrespectful.

I love this shop. It's clean, organized and everyone is in uniform and professional in appearance as well as manner. I have been coming here for over two years (since moving to San Diego) and cannot imagine taking my Lexus anywhere else.

My A/C stopped working and I called around town to find a repair shop that I could trust, I was referred to John's by a friend. Other shops wanted as much as $90 to diagnose the problem and not apply that money to the fix. John's Automotive charged me $29.99 to assess the problem and told me it would cost almost $1000 to repair, the car is only worth $1400 on bluebook. I declined the repair. The whole team was professional, very helpful and they did exactly what I asked them to do at a fair price. There was also a problem with my windshield wiper pump, they tested it as well and determined it to not be the pump but rather the switch on the steering column. I will go back to John's next time I need auto work, the trust factor is very high.

No stars. I took my Dodge truck in for repair and was promised i would have a new truck running and exceptional on the road after paying over $4,000.00 for them to work on it. This was parts and labor. After 2 weeks, a ticking sound was coming from the engine and they told me that I would have to pay an additional $5,000.00 for a new engine. The truck was not driveable and they did NOTHING to make the mistake right. I have never been so taken advantage of by anyone in my years working with a service department. It has been months since this happened and there has been no attempt to right the wrong. I hope they read this and they at least try to refund my money. I am very upset. The reason I took it to them in the first place is because my mother who is 84 years old takes her older car for oil changes. Because I lived in Iowa, I had no other recommendation. I took a big chance and it was a horrible experience for me and my elderly mom. Never have I been so upset after months, I am posting this because there has been no resolution from any of the service managers there. It is only fair to say that they owe me for the money I spent with them. Do they read these posts? That is going to be the telling factor on the honesty of the business. Will they make it right? ***Review update***I am happy to say that John's made every attempt to help us. They did care enough to get back to us, Due to a lack of communication, the owner had no knowledge that anything had gone wrong until our post. Although we cannot replace the truck, we can know that this company cared enough to make sure they gained our return business back.

I am very sorry for our communication issues that we had on our end when your problems started back in November. As you now know we have solved those issues so that this will not happen again.
