My car overheated so I had AAA tow it to John's Automotive about 10am on Saturday. They checked it out and determined the radiator was bad and I needed new hoses and a new thermostat. They close at 4pm on Saturdays and would not be able to get it completed until Monday. At about 5:30 I got a call telling me that the mechanic stayed past closing so that he could finish the job and I would have a car for the weekend. I was not able to get to the shop until much later so they parked the car on the street and I picked it up later with my spare key, and I will go in and pay them on Monday. Now that is what I call "customer service". How many businesses do you know that would do that for their customers? The work I have had done in the past at John's has always been top-notch and very reasonable.

Fast and friendly service. The gentleman who helped me was extremely helpful from the moment I called. I had my battery replaced in no time and paid $60 less then what DCH Honda was quoting me. I will be coming here from now on. Thanks again!

My son's BMW broke down late in the evening and had his car towed to John's . My son asked them to do an inspection to see what was wrong. The care inspection was so beautifully detailed, we new any and everything that was going on with the BMW, "many problems". I worked with Justin Snyder, He was fantastic. He had some great advice for us, pertaining to an older BMW. Justin said the car would take about 2.5 days turn around time, but they worked on the car till late into the evening and early morning. I brought my broken down Trans Am here awhile ago because it had such good reviews on Yelp. They certainly lived up to it. I have never seen a more thorough auto shop. They take detailed pictures of everything and send you a diagnostic report on your car, with explanations breaking down any problems, what should be done, and how urgent it is. It's because of that experience that I brought a car here that I was interested in buying. I wanted their thoroughness so I could make sure I was buying a good car. It definitely helped me make my decision and now they will be my go-to shop for sure. On top of the professionalism, every single person who works here I've interacted with has been awesome, especially Justin who really seems to know everything! Dropping car knowledge bombs left and right! Seriously, just ask for Justin when you come in. He'll take care of you and never pressures you on anything. 5 stars for John's Automotive. PS: The courtesy shuttle ride to work after dropping off my car is super convenient! The customer service here is excellent. It's part of their business model and they take it very seriously. I have been helped by Gustavo, Dave, Justin, and technicians Ben and Blake. This place always emails you a report of the diagnostics with PICTURES of each part. Sometimes, if you're there as the car is being looked at, they show you in person the parts that may need attention (I didn't even ask; they just offered and raised up the car again to show me a part). The thing I like best about this place is that they explain things simply and let you know your options without pressuring you. It is not the cheapest place and diagnostics is rarely free, but it's a place I would trust. Their warranty is also something to consider (3 years or 36,000 miles), and they honor it. (They also offer a lot of cute freebies, such as complimentary coffee/snacks/donuts/candy and free wifi/charging station.) I dropped my truck off for 2 weeks while i was out of town to find a leak in the engine bay. When they got around to looking at it on the second week, they said it was either the power steering pump or maybe a hose. 750 dollars later when I arrived home and started the truck, the power steering pump was squealing, loudly. They told me it was supposed to do that and it will stop in maybe 500 miles. I took it to two other mechanics who verified it definitely was a bad rebuilt pump. When I asked johns automotive if they checked it after install they stated yes. Either bad mechanics or liars, I have no patience for either.

I popped in on 2-13-18 and was un-expectantly romanced right before Valentine's day. I was blessed by AAA stating that this was a place to go to have a 31 point check inspection. By pure divination I was let to go to this store. The person greeted me took my car. Then they have jovial gentleman like (Bryan Coburn) who guide you through the process and collecting your information . They are like a fine machine between the mechanics, and front desk personnel. The waiting room cozy and clean with a few toys for the kiddos and clean bathrooms. Within the waiting room is free snacks, chocolate, water, Keurig coffee, pop (Soda) and a smile!! If you are within a reasonable distance they will have a courtesy to take you to work or home if it's a significant time of your car being worked on. What gentlemen! Toward the end walk you through options as far as what you need to tend to fast or latter. No pushy salesmen just honest, straightforward talk. I was deeply impressed when I was on my way out and they gave me a rose!!! I was only expecting that for ambiance of the year or for the high roller customer's but no!! They gave this to me and a man behind me. "Do Onto Others as you would have them do onto you". Beautiful people!!! I will be back where I know how to be treated like a lady because you know chivalry is NEVER Dead! Bless this secret gem in the belly of the valley of Mission Gorge also known as Grantville. Fantastic experience from start to finish! Big shout out to Justin. I'm always skeptical when I see a flood of positive reviews, but I'm so happy it really lived up to expectations. Not only did they help me get the battery I needed, shuttle quick and efficient, but getting the e-mail breakdown of what is up with my car along with photo support of their recommendations is huge. What sold it to me though was when I was waiting for another customer to get service wrapped up. Along with the work that needed to get done to be operational, Justin brought up that the cabin filter was super dirty (photo support too!) and really should get replaced. Poor girl showed body language where the needed service was already a stretch. Justin was straight up with the customer and said that while needed, wasn't urgent and shouldn't push it if she doesn't have the money for that. No aggressive upsell, just honest and helpful.
