Awesome service as usual! These guys are the best! We live all the way in Chula Vista and still bring our cars to Johns because they take great care of us.

Great Service and very friendly staff. Most of the time I wait for my car repairs to be done so I have had the chance to observe the service advisors interact with their customers. They treat them all as friends and dont push repairs on people that are not needed as some repair shops do.I am also very happy to know that Johns Automotive has recently taken over Harloff Automotive on University Ave. in La Mesa where we have been taking our cars for over 25 years. They are always amazing! Always making sure that my car is running smoothly and I am able to get to and from safely. I always recommend them to my friends.

On 10/2 I went in for my normal routine oil change as I have at Johns for quite some time now and extremely disappointed with the customer service I experienced. At the counter Randy had me sign the normal estimate of $48.12. As I was leaving he came out, stopped the car and stated that he had misquoted me and I normally get synthetic and it would be about $71 something. It sounded off but I told him to give me what I normally get. As I got home it troubled me so I looked for my previous oil change estimate and sure enough it was $48.12. I called and spoke with Justin who stated that the book says synthetic is recommended. If it is recommended, why wasn’t I informed of this the first time I came to John? Why is it that several oil changes later Im being switched. And then to lie and say that’s what I normally get when it’s not. It was all a very sheisty move when I’ve been coming here and trusting John’s for so long. If it was suggested, Randy could have explained that he recommended it to me and honestly I probably would have gone with the change to synthetic. The whole ordeal really put a bad taste in my mouth regarding John’s.
