I was referred here by a friend because she said they are known for being no-nonsense guys who don't try and up-sell or screw you over. I was later told that these guys aren't paid on commission, so it makes sense that they aren't concerned about charging you the highest price. My car was involved in a hit-and-run on a hill, and they were able to get it inspected and write up an estimate for my insurance company. My insurance company was a NIGHTMARE to deal with (Geico). The adjuster went out and was completely unprofessional, telling the guys at the shop that he thought "something fishy" was going on (as if I was trying to commit insurance fraud). Bill had my back every step of the way, and even went as far as to let 2 different Geico people know how unprofessional the adjuster was and that supervisors should be involved. After dealing with that nightmare, I had my car back a week and a half later. My car would have been ready within 2 days had it not been for that stupid gecko and his terrible associates. Anyway, I appreciate how above and beyond Bill and the rest of his team went for me. I've told all my friends about this place, and will definitely return in the future with any needs!! The best auto shop in the San Diego area! The staff was not only extremely friendly, but very knowledgeable and helpful. They were very explicit in the fact that they don't make commission so any suggestion for repairs is just that...a suggestion. Went in for a standard oil change and tire rotation, but through their free inspection I was emailed a thorough report (which included pictures of the compromised part on my vehicle) and highly suggested that I have it replaced. Their quote was very fair and the work was quick. If you're going to spend your hard earned money at an auto shop, take it to John's...you won't be disappointed!

Great car service spot. My ignition cylinder fell out so they were able to fix it same day, give me an oil change and inspection without upselling me, and a free shuttle service during the week (dealer only does weekends) to and from the shop. I even got a free car wash certificate. The customer service and attentiveness was above when I have gotten in the past at other places on average. Ended up going here because it was closer than the dealership and I was a little nervous getting on the highway with a broken ignition cylinder. Happy.
