Erika was super professional and friendly. She notified me and kept me up to date with the needed repairs on my vehicle and returned my calls promptly. It is apparent that there is a strong interaction and team work between the staff.

This place is a COMPLETE rip- off. I wonder how they sleep at night with the way they overcharge for labor, but what is a person to do? We are at the mercy of these no conscience having, auto repair money making factories. Do not take your vehicle here to get it repaired. I was charged for an air conditioning evaluation which my vehicle did not require. They claimed to have recharged the air conditioner yet it did not need it. The air conditioner was not working due to a faulty coolant temperature sensor. The new coolant temperature sensor cost was $83.92 and they charged me $400.00 to install it! No, that is NOT a typo, $400.00! $82.55 total cost for parts. $400.00 labor claiming they spent "several hours" with different pay grades for each "technician" that did this back breaking labor. I was once a customer of John's Automotive however, I will NEVER bring another vehicle to be repaired there. You, too, would be well advised to take your business elsewhere. I must give one star as a YELP rule but if I could give negative stars, that's what my rating would be. Comment from John E. of John's Automotive Care Business Owner 2/29/2020Ron, I understand your frustration with getting your vehicle fixed. Especially knowing that another shop had worked on it 3 or 4 times before you brought it in to us and they were not able to fix your problems. On the phone we talked with you and explained what we were going to do and you approved the work. When you came in to pick up the vehicle you got upset when you saw the bill which was the same amount that we had quoted you over the phone. We tried to talk with you about what was wrong and you not so nicely declined to talk about it. We addressed 3 different problems while your vehicle was here. You had an intermittent A/C problem with it not blowing cold. We checked to see that the compressor was working which it was. At that point we evacuated the system to see how much Freon was in it. This is the only way to verify the right amount of Freon is in the system. Too much or too little Freon can cause intermittent problems. We charged you $150 for this part of the testing and inspection. The next problem was the Check Engine Light with the code P0128 which is Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature. This is the problem that you said another shop had replaced the thermostat twice as well as other things and had not been able to solve the issue. Our testing pointed to the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor being faulty which we replaced. The labor for testing the system and then replacing the part was $198 with the part being $57. Once we had replaced the sensor all the symptoms that you were complaining about had gone away. The third problem was a Tire Pressure Monitoring Light that was on. We tested the system and found that you had some bad sensors and you chose not to repair those. We charged you $67 for this part of the testing. I am not really sure what we could have done differently to make you happy. If you would like to talk about this further please don't hesitate to contact us. We take pride in doing quality work as well as making sure what we recommend is correct. We do charge for the time that we test vehicles to make sure that we have identified the correct problem so that you don't have to keep bringing your vehicle back in for the same problem. Read more

Where do you start with a 5-star rating? With the very first phone call to John’s, that is where it all starts. The friendly voice on the other end of the line sounds like an old friend, pleasant, courteous and knowledgeable. When you get there, you are greeted with a smile, good morning or good afternoon, would you like some coffee etc. The care is more than 5-star, they do everything for you and there is never any pressure to do something you do not want to do. They give you photos of your car, what they found and then make recommendations. If you live close by and need a ride, they will do that as well. John’s Automotive is the place everyone is looking for in their lifetime. You feel good when you get there and even better when you say goodbye. I have been with John’s for years and tell everyone I know to try a phone call and make you own decision. Special shout out to Erica, she was so nice and from start to finish and you can’t mention John’s without talking about Justin, a subject matter expert; another star in a 5-star team. Thank you to everyone at John’s.

After almost being robbed at a toyota dealership, I decided to take my car here for the second time. Not only did they find a leak that Toyota never found, I got charged half of what I would have for the repairs the dealership wanted me to get from them!! These people are very honest, don't haggle you to get stuff you don't need, and the shuttle service?! We will definitely be coming back as our car is an on going repair!!!
