I went to John's Automotive Care because of their current and consistent five-star reviews. However, after getting my battery replaced and an oil change by them, I found a large tool left underneath my hood which could have easily damaged internal parts. I had dropped off my car around 7:15am-7:20am on January 24th and did not receive it back until late afternoon. Although, I came originally for one service, after their complimentary diagnostic, they had requested three immediate attention requests with other recommendations for my car. As a woman going to an autoshop, I always take what they mention very lightly because automotive places are notorious for overcharging services. One immediate attention request they had made was for my battery to be changed, which was fine because I knew that had to be done so I agreed. However, after all the time they had to care for my car, they left the wiring under the hood messy and left a large tool underneath the hood. This kind of work is unacceptable for what they advertise as "No matter what automotive problem you may experience, you can depend on us for quality professional service." This was my first time using their services, and it has me re-evaluating the kind of "quality care" they offer. Now, I am wasting time trying to get someone else to check their work, which should have been done correctly before. David, however, offered me a free oil change, which is the very least they can do. I might go to do it, as this is something I should be reimbursed for and just get a second place to check the kind of work they did. I will update my review and rating when I see fit that they deserve it. I tried to be as kind as possible while still expressing my disappointment. However, handling people's vehicles is a safety issue that must be dealt with carefully.
